The idea of Ecomilagro took concrete shape in 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, at a time when we had daily reminders of how fragile humankind was. It was born, partly out of the realisation that for our environment to continue taking care of us, we had to take care of it as well.
At Ecomilagro, sustainability is the cornerstone of our principles. We are committed to sustainability in our production processes and in the impact our products have on the environment, sustainability in our work culture and in the relationships that we build with our stakeholders.
We started with Coco Peat, a byproduct of Coir Fibre manufacturing. Coco Peat is a versatile growing medium, offering numerous benefits for farming and gardening. It improves soil, has excellent water retention qualities, and has a neutral pH. By using Coco Peat, you will be opting to reuse what is otherwise considered a waste product. And by trusting Ecomilagro, you will become a part of a process that places emphasis not just on quality and reliability, but also on ensuring that a larger share of the benefits finds its way to the indigenous farmers.
